I did try to find more on it, but couldn't. Which led me to think it might be part of a publicity stunt given the date.

A Van Gogh painting long believed to be a fake has been shown to be authentic. What's great about it is that in the upper left corner of the painting, you can see the Tardis. Obviously it was painted during the time Amy and The Doctor visited Van Gogh.

I was wondering that myself. I mean, I can understand it when an ex priminister's son gets arrested trying to start and fund a military coup and that making front page news. But one getting married? Who gives a feacal movement?
I'm guessing they're covering it in exchange for invites so they can rub shoulders with the slebs.

The story also says he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease
and then calmly states the he was a guest on a show called Parkinson
in the 1970s.

The article neither speculates nor draws any conclusion that being on
this show was the cause but does say:

"An appearance on Parkinson in the 1970s helped introduce him to a
wider audience..." and quotes Billy as later saying that his appearance
on the show changed his life.

Apparently it did.
