I did try to find more on it, but couldn't. Which led me to think it might be part of a publicity stunt given the date.

A Van Gogh painting long believed to be a fake has been shown to be authentic. What's great about it is that in the upper left corner of the painting, you can see the Tardis. Obviously it was painted during the time Amy and The Doctor visited Van Gogh.

"The Voyager-1 spacecraft has become the first manmade object to leave the Solar System.

Scientists say the probe's instruments indicate it has moved beyond the bubble of hot gas from our Sun and is now moving in the space between the stars."

It makes you proud, doesn't it? Something humanity built less than a century after developing powered flight is now sailing through plasma left behind by ancient supernovas.

Humanity is awesome.

Looks like we get the Tories in Manchester for their conference again this year: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-24085130

And they happen to time it when the Manchester Food & Drink Festival is on. So of course, not problems being foreseen with all the additional security that's going to need, but at least they'll have cleaned the city up for them. smiley - erm

Tony Blair's son Euan weds girlfriend Suzanne Ashman

I was wondering that myself. I mean, I can understand it when an ex priminister's son gets arrested trying to start and fund a military coup and that making front page news. But one getting married? Who gives a feacal movement?
I'm guessing they're covering it in exchange for invites so they can rub shoulders with the slebs.

Getting ready for his smooth entry into politics. I heard that Prescott, Straw and Blair all have sons putting themselves forward as candidates for Labour. Nepotism? Surely not!!

Surely the previous bigwigs at the Labour party aren't out to groom their sons so they can pass on the family business to them?! I mean, that's totally against the ethos of their party isn't it? smiley - winkeye

The story also says he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease
and then calmly states the he was a guest on a show called Parkinson
in the 1970s.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkinson_(TV_series)

The article neither speculates nor draws any conclusion that being on
this show was the cause but does say:

"An appearance on Parkinson in the 1970s helped introduce him to a
wider audience..." and quotes Billy as later saying that his appearance
on the show changed his life.

Apparently it did.
