And wasn't it Poe who wrote a short about Dr Tarr and his associate Professor Feather? I believe they were fictional early researchers of techniques in Behavior Modification. Seriously- do any of you recall this? I may be wrong, but I'm certain.

And radio personality Dr Demento- again, a pseudonym. I guess he's mostly American- have you Brits ever heard of him? He plays humorous songs from all decades, he's quite the music historian...
