Haylle (Nyssabird) ? mg to recovery

Any particular music (as embarrassing as it may be) that is an instant prozac for y'all?

For me, I'd say 'Down Under' by Men at Work, 'Shining Star,' by Earth, Wing, and Fire, the Kingdom Hearts mix of 'Hikari' by Utada Hikaru, 'Ride my Seesaw' by the Moody Blues, 'Bus Stop' by the Hollies (?), Spirit in the Sky 'Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, 'Missippi Queen' Mountain, 'El Paso' Marty Robbins, 'Atomic Dog' George Clinton, 'Brown Eyed Girl'..ok, this is getting longer than i expected..anyway. your turn smiley - smiley

So, we're just talking about stuff that makes you feel better here?

Ooh, well, pretty much anything by Kula Shaker cheers me up, and the whole of "Introducing the Hardline" by Terence Trent Derby, also, "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves", "Paradise City" by Guns 'n' Roses, "Stayin' Alive" by the BeeGees, "Town called Malice" by The Jam, "She's Electric" by Oasis, "Gotta Get Thru This" by Daniel Beddingfield (do I have eclectic taste? I think so) and for a really cheesy finale "Breakaway" by Tracey Ullman.

Some songs which kind of get me out of a funk:

Working In a coalmine- lee dorsey
rescue me- fontella bass
say hello wave goodbye- soft cell
cowboys- ian dury and the blockheads
romeo and juliet- dire straits
tweeter and the monkeyman- traveling wilburys
for crying out loud- meat loaf
born to run- springsteen

Some for when I want to relax into a reflective mood:

prettiest eyes- beautiful south
to ramona- bob dylan
hurt- johnny cash
forever young- dylan

Some smiley - cool choices there, Egon. Oooh, yes, "Rescue Me" by Fontella Bass, I'd forgotten about that one. That's definitely a turn it up and dance around the kitchen track.

And another one you have reminded me of, in a roundabout way, is "Hit me with your Rythm Stick" by Ian Dury and the Blockheads.

I was watching TOTP2 last night and was reminded what a fine and uplifting track "Love Action" by the Human League is.

I could probably come up with a differend 'happy' song every day if I thought about it for long enough.smiley - biggrin

Yeah but if you really want to get the people downstairs complaining as you boogie round the kitchen, then slap on The Power And The Passion, by Midnight Oil.
