I saw that clip a week or so back - I think it's great!
That's just the sort of enforcement I like - no fines or hidden cameras, just the opportunity to smash your car up as a result of your own stupidity.
I think the guy whose wife grabbed the baby and promptly disappeared up the street, really had some apologising to do.

Ouch!!!
Some of those must have hurt!
Well designed bollards though, just timed so they rip the bottom out of your engine and radiator for maximum expense

Do you think it's only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt or worse as a result of this? I have doubts whether it's worth it, just to stop someone using a bus lane. Why not take a photo and send the PCN in the post?

Where's the punishment (or entertainment) value of a measly fine?
I'm for even more draconian mesures to stop the type of person who flaunt the rules..
Might i suggest spiked bollards?

I still want to know how it got onto that site. How did they get the footage?

Aww, I miss Manchester! It's not like the city council to have clever ideas like that too often.

There was rain in one of them. But I agree, it took me a few seconds to realise - no violent scallies

Very scary that anyone would even consider such devices a good idea.
In North America they wouldn't last an hour before inciting the public to riot. Around here even tollgate and railroad crossing barriers are now made of styrofoam or some less dangerous and damaging material. Of course if you break it you pay for it.

I'm not sure I found that amusing. What we have there are three potentially very dangerous traffic accidents.

What we have there are three very ignorant motorists who have suffered damage to their vehicles through their ignorance. Shame it doesn't happen more often.

Happening to the type of senseless plank that cause accidents all over, because they are too arogant, or stupid to obey simple instructions.
They've learned a lesson that just may limit their damage to the rest of society in the future.

It's not amusing, it's freaking hilarious! I'm willing to bet their insurance companies would agree with that statement.

I wondered where that sudden desire for Bella Emberg came from.
I'm still naive enough to cross a road after checking that nobodys indicating to turn my way, trusting fool that I am.

Driving into a wall is very dangerous too and most people tend to avoid that, even without warning notices posted in the run up to them.
Drivers are supposed to take notice of these signs. If they don't notice or are too stupid to read them, or as seen on that video, deliberately ignore them, reverse and then try again, then as my grandmother would say 'Hell'll mend them'.
