Whatever happened to our right to privacy?
First they sell the electoral rolls to any Tom, Dick, or Harry that wants them and now this!
I just received this from an acquaintance:
"SCARY STUFF!! strongly advise you do it!
Subject: Drivers License
Check your driver's license information on-line. Now you can see
anyone's drivers license on the internet, including your own! It asks
for U.S. info, but unfortunately it works for Canadian, English,
Australian and New Zealand licenses as well. I just searched for mine
and there it was;
picture and all.
This is really scary. I definitely removed mine. I suggest you all do
the same. Go to the website and check it out.
Just enter your name and city, and if you are Canadian, Aussie,
English, Kiwi leave it as 'Select a State' and see if yours is on
file. After your license comes on the screen, click the box
marked "Please Remove".
Go to http://www.license.shorturl.com "
And this is a salutary warning before we get identity cards.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted May 6, 2006
Just as well I don't drive.... though some people would argue there are better reasons for which one might say 'just as well I don't drive'

Hmmm, just visited the site and it is extremely scary - saw my photograph and realised that I have to do something about my facial hair problem

Yeah, I just stuck Toronto into the city name option and 'no state'. Since my driving licence is now expired and I haven't looked at it recently I was surprised to see that it is only *somewhat* more scary than my passport photo.

This one's really worrying - noticed all those speed cameras wherever you go ? Ever worried that someone could stick YOUR number plate on THEIR car ?
