Beards: why?
GreeboTCat Posted Nov 11, 1999
I never really thought of it before... I didn't have an opinion one way or the other... then I met my boyfriend... and founf that I loved his beard... definately one of the best things about him...
I may be biased though... Hmmm...

Similar to my experience--I didn't like them until my b/f grew one despite my protests; then I was glad he did....

Oh! Oh! I know the answer to that one too!
You like his rebellious nature of a man that you can't control. What a challenge! How exciting! You'll break him, you'll break him in the end you're sure of that
You like it so much that you're willing to let him grow the sort of hair on his face that will scratch your face up when you kiss him.
I think that was my last pearl of knowledge. I feel drained...

My boyfriend's beard has never scratched my face... Are you speaking from personal experiance when you talk about kissing someone with facial hair?
Beards: why?
Adz Posted Nov 11, 1999
More complaints about kissing when I haven't shaved. *grumble* I must have something to hide if I felt the need to explain that!

Well she was extremely... sensitive. Maybe that was why a little stubble vexed her so.
Beards: why?
Lupa Mirabilis, Serious Inquisitor Posted Nov 12, 1999
It didn't scratch my face up; it didn't grow right around his mouth for some reason.

Hmmmm...that's a new one on me. All I know is, it got in the way when I was trying to stroke his cheek.

A BIG beard isn't scratchy, long leg hair (well not long but unshaved for a while) isn't either.
My husband's beard doesn't itch that much either - tho' what it was like to start with I couldn't say...I didn't wash my hair (head!)for 6 or 7 years and that is itchy for a week or two to start with but is OK after .

Actually not even all new beards are scratchy... And cookie-dusters can .. erm... Uhm... Increase.. erm.. uhm.. oh never mind! *blushes pink*

I think it was E.B. White who said that the great thing about being disorganised is that you're always making wonderful discoveries.

Pity I missed a lot of this fun... But it makes for good reading
The only steady girl-friend I had, hated beards and moustaches, so I had to remove 'em. Also I've learned to accept that more and more people like a prefer a shaved man over a bearded fellow. But I'm happy to find out that there are still women who DO like beards, whatever the reason may be
