that was a pickup, right?
Vladimir Posted Oct 8, 1999
Hey!!! I'm serious! It's my last day at work today so my colleagues took me out for "a" drink...
that was a pickup, right?
Bells Posted Oct 8, 1999
are we a little hungover then ???
you're not looking for sympathy - are you ???
that was a pickup, right?
Anonymouse Posted Oct 8, 1999
Hmmm.. Well... USUALLY "Hi. I'm plastered. drive me home?" doesn't work, but sometimes it does. (Maybe even *grunt, nods towards door* is an option here. )
that was a pickup, right?
Vladimir Posted Oct 8, 1999
Im not hungover YET.. but then, I'm still sobering up.
Any sympathy is greatfully accepted though, whether I need/deserve it or not!
AND... Just what are you trying to say, Nonny mouse?
that was a pickup, right?
Bells Posted Oct 8, 1999
so your hangover should kick in anytime soon !!!
Sympathy ??????????
that was a pickup, right?
Vladimir Posted Oct 8, 1999
Yeah, ok. No sympathy deserved.
Uh oh. The queasiness and shaky handsssss are beginning to set in..
Roll on lunchtime.
that was a pickup, right?
Vladimir Posted Oct 8, 1999
Well, ....y'know...
....Y'KNOW??!!
Well, I hope you know, 'cos I'll accept any sympathy that's going and I'm not sure what form (if any) is being offered.
Vlad.

My 'sympathy' for hangovers usually involved pan lids and I doubt you'd want any... Most on the receiving end didn't.

Vladimir Posted Oct 8, 1999
I've had lunch now and I'm beginning to feel a bit more human.
That doesn't mean I wouldn't appreciate the sympathy any way.
Why do we forget things we did, when we were drunk?
Fatlock Posted Oct 9, 1999
Reminds me of the Willie Nelson ditty the refrain of which contains the following:-
Last night I came home at 2 with a 10 and woke up at 10 with a 2.
Funny, it's always blokes who think they can get away with that sexist attitude - I know plenty of '2' blokes.
Or would this one work?

You must be wearing mirror knickers. I can see myself in them.
Or would this one work?
Anonymouse Posted Oct 10, 1999
I'm sure it would probably fit right in here... Though I'm just as certain I've probably not heard it.

Sorry for the confusion. Long, long ago, this forum was discussing chat-up lines. But I've been absent....
Why do we forget things we did, when we were drunk?
Waldo Dobbs Posted Oct 11, 1999
More to the point, why does everyone else remember EXACTLY what I did when I was drunk!
Why do we forget things we did, when we were drunk?
Anonymouse Posted Oct 13, 1999
Getting drunk, chatup lines, Willie Nelson songs... Hmm... Yeah, these all fit.
The reason everyone else remembers is... erm.. uhm... I forget.
