Right.

1. Blackadder
2. Father Ted
3. The Young Ones
4. Bottom
5. The League Of Gentlemen
6. Drop The Dead Donkey
7. Men Behaving Badly
8. Mr Don & Mr George (am I the only person who actually liked this?)
9. Up Pompeii
10. Hancock's Half Hour

Oh, but then there are all the things that might be considered sitcoms but then again might not: Brass Eye, KYTV, Police Squad. And dare I mention The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy? smiley - smiley

Am I allowed a top 18?

1. The League of Gentlemen
2. Fawlty Towers
3. Spaced
4. Blackadder
5. Father Ted
6. Teachers
7. Scrubs (the only U.S. series on this list. smiley - sorry, but all the rest are really really bad. Except perhaps Frasier, but it's still not that good)
8. Red Dwarf
9. Porridge
10. Only Fools and Horses
11. The Royle Family
12. Open All Hours
13. Yes, Minister
14. Steptoe and Son
15. The Young Ones
16. WHTT Likely Lads
17. The Vicar of Dibley
18. Dad's Army

Sorry, fords, but I really don't think Monty Python can be considered a sit-com. The League of Gentlemen may be pushing it, as it's somewhere between a sketch show and a sit-com.

I'm in two minds about Monty Python - I know it's a sketch show at heart, but hey. It was worth a go!

Scrubs is excellent, and there are no rules to say you can't include it!

I'd also have to add 6 Feet Under - and now we've got cable, I can see the new series before everyone! MuahahahaaaaahhaaaaHAAA!! *um, that's enough now*

Also watching the repeats of Teachers on same cable channel, just as funny second time round too smiley - biggrin

Awww, I want to do my list again!

Paul Reiser?
Greg Evigan?!
A very young Giovanni Ribisi?!!
The Judge?!!!
That title sequence?!!!!
THAT theme tune?!!!!!

...joking of course.

Seinfeld is the greatest sitcom in the history of the universe, followed by The Simpsons, I'm Alan Partridge and Spaced...im my opinion.

Tonsil Revenge (PG)

Definition of a sitcom:
fixed premise show with fixed main cast (guests a necessity and an opportunity for show-length running gags) whose scripts involve bizarre and humourous situations that, while part of the show's universe, usually are one episode in duration.

Magnum PI began as a gag character on The Rockford Files, which was a modern day version of Maverick... all comedies...

Colombo? C'mon! The Green Acres of crime tv?

Hmmm....maybe you're right, Giford. Maybe you are the only one paying attention.

smiley - rosesmiley - alesmiley - diva

And a happy birthday to Mr. Floppy! smiley - bunny
Vice Cop Barbie says,"Come home! All is forgiven! The rabbit didn't die!"
