Hitchikers on DVD!!!!

The 15 certificate, by the way, is because the video of the Making Of programme (which I have) is a 15, and they have to go for the rating of the highest-rated piece of content. The series itself on VHS is a PG.

I wish I had seen this earlier, its my husband's birthday tomorrow and all smiley - gift suggestions where used up at Crimble. So I've really been struggling for ideas!

Now I've got something sorted, but he would have loved the DVDs. Never mind, it may not be a romantic smiley - gift in the Valentine sense, but if I'm stuck for something then, it will be Ford Prefect to the rescue!

Maybe I ought to wait and see what my other half comes up with for Valentines day then, as he is intensely predictable and obsessed with the special things you can get on dvdssmiley - smiley

I would, but it's in Cambridge and I'm in Nottingham...

Maybe Amazon have it, you could try them. They seem to have almost everything, and if it's still available... although I got my copy in Booksale in Cambridge some years back.

the autist formerly known as flinch

I was hoping to find the second series of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) on the BBC shop, but couldn't find it. The vic and bob website suggests it's due out in the next couple of weeks. Does anyone remember where the Hitch Hikers DVD was advertised prior to release?

I found mine on Play 24/7, which is where I generally buy DVDs and videos as it's cheap. I won't give you the address as it's blatently a pure commercial site and I doubt the moderators would like it very much. I will be visiting them again soon though, as they have Pride and Prejudice on DVD for an affordable price...

Amazon also tend to list stuff before it's released, so that you can pre-order it with them. Basically you just have to poke around to see what's about. Sometimes Amazon and Play and Blackstar send me e-mails telling me about new releases as well.
