h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Is it inevitable that, sooner or later, we must all cross the path of the nighthoover? I never expected it to happen to me. Or for it to take twenty years for it to happen to me. I am awed. And humbled. And several other things that I can't form into words right now.

Could Nighthoover be a star-crossed lover who crosses paths while cross-eyed?

Or just cross?

Well, that sucks.

Before the universe sprang forth from an infinitesimal dot, there was the void, nothing, the ultimate vacuum.
Even today, most of the universe is empty space, nearly complete vacuum except for a few sparse hydrogen and helium atoms.
The default state of the universe is a vacuum.

Nighthoover is the embodiment of a vacuum expressed divinely by his continued absence.

The natural state of the everything is to suck.

All else blows!

That's easy. Nature abhors a vacuum.


Entropy may be involved there somewhere too, but I wouldn't think too hard on it.

I've got some pretty-large dust-bunnies under the bed right now.... This is good in some ways.... mainly as it says quite clearly, without doubt, that my hair is indeed returned, at last, to how long it was way before I got all the ill stuff going on odd it took so long, as it grew an aweful lot quite quick, but turned out one of my medications was stopping it growing as its shot down my back four or five inchs now, since I stopped taking this one particular med and... now the dust bunnies and hair ball bunnies grow ever larger where's nighthoover when I need her

Actually, I'm just procrastinating like mad. I have a presentation to finish.

I'v never thought about using this place as a destination for procrastination, but if it brings researchers back to us, it's worth a try.

I've written half an entry while trying to avoid writing what I'm actually meant to finish in, uh, 12 hours.

As I write this, I see that you wrote your post 16 hours ago, so you finished it four hours ago. Right?
