Currently just finishing off re-reading the entire Harry Dresden series (huge urban fantasy series) - remember being so glad after reading the first book that there were another 15 to read!

"On Special and General Relativity", Albert Einstein.
"Skylark Three", E.E. 'Doc' Smith.
"The Secret Garden", Francess Hodgson Burnett.
Rotating between the three depending on my mood.

I'm going on holiday for a month and I have far too many books on the go at the moment. Here's the list:
Why the West Rules - For Now by Ian Morris
The Negotiator by Frederick Forsyth
Fall of Giants by Ken Follett
The Once and Future King by T H White
Vanity Fair by W M Thackeray
The Age of Wonder by Richard Holmes
Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb
A Clash of Kings by George R R Martin
Some of these are books I've read before, but I need to read them again so I can write reviews of them. Hopefully I'll be down to two or three books by the time I get back.

drop them all and concentrate on The Age of Wonder. What a fantastic book that is!

I know it is. It's one of the books I've read before. (Prof. Brian Cox rates it amongst his favourite books, BTW.)

Recently completed John W. Campbell's "Invaders From The Infinite".
Its a transitional piece, more solid (and at the time, recently breaking) physics, less of the unfounded fantastic, though not yet the hard emphasis on realism and practicality characterizing his years as editor at Astounding/Analog.

I'm looking for a book actually. Does anyone know where I can find Douglas Adam's "The Galaxy"?

Apparently not.
At least I didn't find it with h2g2 advanced search.
Surprising.

Note on the "https bug", Frankenstein, omit the 's' and the url bar address will print so as to make a usable link.
Don't know the source of the bug, but it is irritating and frustrating.

The Shepherd's Crown by Terry Pratchett
I'm about half way through at the moment and like it a lot. I have a feeling all things happen as they have to and it feels like some Kind of turning Point. I'm not sure if any more Discworld novels have been finished or almost finished, but so far this one seems to make a good ending.

I'm back from my holiday. I didn't do as much reading as I thought I would, but I did finish The Age of Wonder and Fall of Giants. I also read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.
Currently reading Cleopatra by Michael Grant and Fatal Passage by Ken McGoogan (tree-books) and Clash of Kings on Kindle.

I'm reading "Follow That Bird" by Bill Oddie, a collection of anecdote-style pieces about adventures travelling to see different birds.
You know how Bill can get on your nerves a bit on TV with his highly strung enthusiasm? Well his writing's a bit like that, too. A little goes a long way.
