why is it that different countries have different chocolate bars. for example New Zealand has Pixie caramels. these are made by Nestle, so its not because its a NZ company that makes them . cadbury do the same sort of thing. i also don't believe thats its because NZders like different tastes as i have given some to english and american people and they thought they were yummy as well. any suggestions for this would be appreciated

An NZ friend brought kiwifruit chocolates back here to the UK after a visit home and they were *bogging* - so there mujst be some difference in taste (unless you only sell them to tourists! )
American versions of UK (or is it vice versa?) do taste different...
Hmmm....

Hm.. I don't know.. here in England I miss the chocolate at home.
Oh, yeah, and the chocolate I eat here is very limited as I don't buy Nestle products.. (babykillers) and that leave me with Terry's Orange Chocolate and Kinder Surprises..

Excuse me, have you discovered Cadbury's yet? They're certainly not owned by Nestle.

For feel good eco friendly and fantastic tasing chocolate go for Green and Blacks. A range of fair trade organic chocolate bars and cocca powder.
Best place to buy - your local friendly health / organic store (also availiable from place like oxfam).

Cadbury's, yeah, I have tried some of their chocolate, too.. and Mars and a coupple of other brands. I just happen to be really picky when it comes to chocolate..
Another good one, but it is not english, is Toblerone and that french one I don't remember the name of.

Cadbury are having "Flake" aren't they?
If so, that might be why I am a bit prejudged about them. I hate flakes. Guess some of it has to be all right, though

see now your making me want some chocolate. but i can't get alot of those, unless i pay ridiculous amounts. thornton's was always my favorite when i was in england. although that is definitly a treat. better go and find a pixie caramel to keep me going

We've had some American exchange students over at Uni and they have introduced me to the delights of Nibisco's (as common a brand name there as Kellogs) Orio's. Like choc-heavy cookies and they are *so* lovely.
