h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Wacky predicitions are rife in the world, how many times were we told the world would end on this date to be sheepishly told the next day that they'd got the date wrong and it was going to happen later on in the year and they'd get back to us. one day someone will be right but unfortunatly no-one will be around to here them say 'I told you so'

And on the 9th of November, when nothing happens, will you stop believing this, or will you believe that God postponed Armageddon for the 10th?

And on the 10th of November, when San Francisco stays still, will you stop believing this, or will you believe that you got the date wrong and it’s actually the 11th?

And on the 11th of November, when life continues around the world, will you stop believing this, or will you believe that God was ill and couldn’t make it that day, but you’re sure that he’ll be well by the 12th?

And on the 12th?

And on the 13th?

And on the 14th?

How many days will it take you to realise that the world’s not going to end?

Let's take 5 million years as a nice round number and set that as the date when the sun will explode/God will show his wrath/the Great Handkerchief will come.

That means Zakky here will have to wait around for 1,825,000,000 days.
Hope he remembers to pack some sandwiches.

I'd have thought waiting for next year and the 6th June (6/6/06) would be a more obvious date for an apocalpse

Firtsly, thanks to everyone who alerted us to this conversation. While we do try to welcome faiths and beliefs of all kinds (where legally possible) we do also have to adhere to rules about spamming and social etiquette about scare-mongering.

Let's all hope we can put this particular issue down to one of the above come November 10th.

I'm so glad they've brought that series back its always hilarious ooo someone say 9th November? thats like my birthday I think I'll build an arc to be on the safe side; its just started raining

Do the people that take it up the bottom get more 'quaked' than those that give it up the bottom? Will I get a reprieve if I offer God a BJ?

I'd have thought so it seems to have stopped raining, so I've got this arf built arc here now.... perhaps I should turn it into a crack house or a slightly excentric cathouse
