A Conversation for FANTASY FOOTBALL - Season 13 - No Money-bags!
FF13 - Week Eleven
GreyDesk Started conversation Mar 13, 2005
After the poor showing in Week Ten, lets see if you can all do a little better this time around.
To encourage you, there are bonus points up for grabs this week
There will be TWO bonus points awarded to the first person to come up with the connection that links all this weeks matches together. Once again, you only get the points if you post your match predictions at the same time as you guess the connection.
Dunfermline v Hibernian
Oldham v Luton
Partick Thistle v St.Mirren
Sunderland v Coventry
Windsor & Eton v Staines Town
Closing time for the thread is 12noon on Saturday, 19th March.
Best of luck

Dunfermline 0-1 Hibernian (O'Connor)
Oldham 1-2 Luton (Underwood)
Partick Thistle 0-0 St.Mirren
Sunderland 2-0 Coventry (Elliott)
Windsor & Eton 1-1 Staines Town (Peter Holsgrove)
The connection is quite obviously a home economics tip. Hidden cunningly in the the team names is the following preventative against overcooking your pork products: "Bern ham, thistle an oven stain."

I think its a brothers connection - there is a team in each pairing has a set of brothers playing for them.
Dunfermline 0 - 1 Hibernian (Riordan)
Oldham 0 - 2 Luton (Brkovic)
Partick Thistle 0 - 1 St.Mirren ( Mixu Paataleinaan) ( I can't spell O'Neill)
Sunderland 1 - 1 Coventry (John) (against all sanity)
Windsor & Eton 2 - 0 Staines Town (Peter Holsgrove) (not Paul)

Hmmm...I thought about the brothers connection, but couldn't find one of them.

Ah... it seems like only yesterday when I was at Windsor's ground (Stag Meadow) watching Yeading beat Slough Town in the Second Round of the FA Cup!

That fact is undeniably true. However that revelation is not going to be worth two bonus points to you or anyone else.
