h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The Dining Room is dominated by a heavy oak table with throne-like chairs at either end and countless smaller chairs in between. Next to the sideboard is a small door to the kitchen.

*there is something brown and dusty under the table*

*walks into the dining room followed by Lycan*

*makes his way in there and waits*

I think I might go check out the basement

*looks reproachfully over her shoulder*

*moves back through the doorway*

*she scrambles onto the throne like chair at the head of the table and imagines the room full with laughing party-goers*

*suddenly, the room is full of laughing party-goers, the table laid with mountains of food, and servants behind every seated guest ready with a jug or bottle*



*in a flash, they are all gone*

~~Cyiadan can you come back to the kitchen please~~

*sits in shock for a while before moving back to the door and into the kitchen*

*lays the mutton stew on the table*

*puts the tray on the table and places the bowls at each place setting*

*once more the room fills with party-goes, she gets the impression only she can see them....they laugh and gesture to her to join them; dazed she walks towards the nearest gentleman*

*the gentleman rings the dinner bell and the mutton begins to bah*



*the gentleman laughs*

*with a flash, the guests are gone, and the stew is quiet*


*the candle holders now have fresh, unlit candles in them*

Is something wrong Cyiadan?

*enters and sits in a chair near the door*

*enters and stands leaning against the wall, trying to figure out what is happening here*

*smiles* can everyone take a seat please...
