Prof has been in hospital for just over two weeks. He was allowed home on Friday evening.

He will be online as soon as he is able.

Hi folks!
Firstly! I'd just like to thank everyone most deeply for your best of wishes, they are greatly appreciated.

This is not the sort of post I'd ever thought to write, but have to.
I was rushed into hospital on xmas eve. As I was getting undressed, I caught a long standing (from childhood) sort of blood-blister on my left ankle, which resulted in me pumping blood from a major vain. Missing the next bit of story, I move to the hospital part. I found out that I'd lost about 1.5 litre of blood and the paramedics had pumped 2 "bottles" of fluid into me, just to stabilise me. As things transpired about my health issues and about a health problem I was suffering at the time.
I now have a heart issue on the right side of my heart (not fully working) and that together with having a small lung capacity because of sclerosis (curvature of the spine) as resulted that at night, my lungs aren't clearing enough co2 from me. Which turns out to be the cause of the problem I was undergoing.
I now have to use a breathing mask/unit through the night to aid my lungs.
I came out of hospital Friday 12th and for a few weeks I'm taking things easy to build strength/energy etc
I was told that all these health problems are a sort of stock issue due to sclerosis, ho hum! So it looks like my fate was set from birth. It might all be negative news, but I remain positive - they haven't got shut of me yet and will continue being me, just at a slower pace.

I'll be in hootoo, but not often at the moment, as I take time to get things back to some form of "normality" with my life and absorb the health whammies that have just hit me.


life might be "S" but it's better than dead. I once had a T-Shirt printed, it said :- "heaven doesn't want me and hells afraid I'll take over - the Animal" SO TRUE! SO TRUE!
