Hello, Jimcracker. I hope you get better as well. Sprains get really painful at certain times, I know as I've loose ankles. They go at the most inopportune times.

You haven't live until you've tried to come down a steep, icy hill on crutches to the dining commons for breakfast. Not that the ill was on crutches. I was.

I did not stop at spraining my ancle. I tore every ligament known to humanity and broke the joint capsule also

But on the upside: 40 years after having the leg in cast for 8 weeks I can still predict snow.

It did. I am able to both walk and run.

I do prefer not to, though.

Sometimes the pain can be lessened, provided that it's caused by things like Lyme Disease. If arthritis is involved, some kinds of stretching exercises or water therapy can help.

Madsnacker, sorry to hear about your allergy attack. It is rather unseasonable to get such a severe hay fever attack in winter. But allergies are sometimes transferable to other causes. Was there some some sort of environmental change that you underwent recently? You might consult with you physician.
