[Jordan erects a completely impenetrable force-field around his person and space - which, incidentally, has more than a few Vimes-inspired features.]
I should point out that my force field was developed during a long sabbatical of about two months in the Spy Society's laboratory using the best of their technology. Also, would-be assailants ought to take account of my hideously advanced intellect and technical skills, which have been enhanced by my experiences in the SS lab.
I shall now leave with a florish. 
[Carries out a complex and sophisticated maneuver, incorporating a triple-piqued twist and precious-few footholds, which carries him out of the window and into the street forty feet below in a mere two seconds, landing unharmed and saunterning nonchalantly away immediately upon landing - basically, a move worthy of the Matrix.]

Having an impenetrable force field completely violates the law of continuity which states taht there are no absolutes. Therefore, he has no forcefield at all.
