Task of the day - Buying a Tent

Really difficult task of the day - practising putting it up (sorry, erecting it)

tents are fun, but it is hard to get one of those huge things up Viagra perhaps?

Thumbs - I don't think that will be necessary. I was beguiled into buying a 2-man tent by a very persuasive salesperson at Millets. Imagine my disappointment when I brought it home, set it up in the back garden, and found it be - absolutely empty! Surely I can sue them under the trades-descriptions act?

LOL Leggy, I'm sure you can sue them, or at least take that saleman home as a compensation

Alex - I think it is entirely possible that I am mad! Still - I haven't started playing c****et yet - so there's still hope for me

While you've all been lying around in the sun enjoying yourselves, you might have missed some Really Excitiing c****et news. Yesterday somebody called Jones or Borwn or something has scored 999 and he's not out yet! Although what him being gay has to do with it I'm not really sure.

I went to the zoo today, saw some polar bears, but the seemed to be a little bit hot and for some reason turned their behinds toward the crowd

And he only had one leg - and he still managed to swat the English bowling all around London. What a star!

Oh dear, I'll get me coat...

Leggy didn't say that ponytails are inherently dubious but that this particular chap's ponytail was dubious.

Although, it must be said that if the Bandit does indeed sport a pony-tail (and we have no reason to doubt his veracity on this point), he is the exception which proves the rule...........

I had the pony-tail trimmed for the first time in years a few months ago - I can't get it caught in the waist-band of my jeans any more!

I confess, there is a little receding of the hairline, and some grey streaks have appeared in the hair, but it's pretty damned good at 37!

For the avoidance of doubt - I will say that not all ponytails are dubious, just that sometimes they can look a little sad when the hair stops right on the top of the head. The salesguy wasn't at that stage but it looked at though he was getting there.... in any case - any hairstyle what soever will beat a comb-over
