I'm subbing A10357463, which refers to Lincoln Center in New York as 'Lincoln Centre', as per the style rules about British English. However, the name of the place really is 'Lincoln Center', and not 'Lincoln Centre'. How should it be spelled for the EG?

Personal Opinion:
The proper name of the place is Lincoln Center. So it's Lincoln Center.
On the other hand... When we get the voting guides in election season, the Spanish version refers to the city as "Nueva York", though "New York" is the proper name.
In that case it would be Lincoln Centre.
I'll check my style-book tommorow, if nobody knows for certain.

I think I can recall the Eds once saying that it would, in effect, be Lincoln Center. The rule should be that if it's in this language, the sign outside the door should be what we call it.

"Why not emphasise the name 'Lincoln Center' is the name while Lincoln's centre is downtown Lincoln.
In Guide ML you can use or or even the single quotes ' "

I recently did an Entry where an American Museum was called the 'something' Center. So it remained that way. It's a name, not a thing, and naming words should always remain as they were shouldn't they?

Technically we haven't got the characters to write Ho Chi Min correctly either.
Whatever is closest.
