Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me! Posted May 2, 2003
I saw Good Will Hunting over the weekend, if you haven't seen it.... DOA fantastic performance (again) from Robin Williams
There's a scen where Will has belittled a history student after he had attempted to do the same to Will's friend to impress some attractive young ladies, one of which eventually gives Will her number on leaving the bar.
When Will and his mates leave the bar they spot the student in a burger joint (or similar) sat by the window, Will walks across and taps on the window.... then taps again louder. The student recognises him and here's the quote....
Will: Do you like apples?
Student: What?
Will: DO YOU LIKE APPLES?
Student: Yeah, I like apples.
Will: (holding piece of paper to the window, so the student can read it, WELL HOW DO YOU LIKE THOSE APPLES.... I GOT HER NUMBER

This is my rifle. There are many
like it, but
this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend. It
is my life. I must master it, as I must master
my life.
Without me my rifle is useless. Without my
rifle, I am useless. I
must fire my rifle true. I
must shoot straighter than my enemy who
is
trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he
shoots me. I
will.
Before God I swear this creed. My rifle and
myself are
defenders of my country. We are
the masters of our enemy. We are the
saviours
of my life. So be it .. . until there is no enemy
amen

That's a long quote. Good point, though.
