Abbi, as far as I can tell, red nose day is a day when people give donations to comic relief, and wear red noses, and do their hair funny. I think. There are a couple links in the drool thread. I'd never heard of it myself.

Hi There Jellen & Abbi, I thought you knew what Red Nose wasits a national charity raising event that weve done here for a few years now. Its people all over the country doin crazy & zany things to raise money. All the media joins in with sponsership & all the BBC programs have special edition shows. It has raised millions of £ which goes to chatities all over the worldMany years ago when I was fit I once did a sponsered absail down a 120ft tower & raised £120 a £1 a foot

I unsub to ASK h2g2 because it is so many threads. I have to train myself to go there once or twice a day to look around. I miss things sometimes.

Hi There Abbi, You could always have a look at the address box on top of the page, click on it & put it down as one of your FAVOURITES, next time you want to go there, just click on the "down arrow" on the right of address bar, click your favourite page, and it will take you straight to it

I found this site via abbi's page while browsing through some old conversations. I was attracted to it because I've had some problems with myelin (it occasionally goes AWOL from parts of my brain associated with touch).

I notice you've got a place for having a whinge. I'm off to check it out.

In fact just last night I thought; the De Myelin Nation could be an offshoot of a U-Main Nation. I'd like to see what Terri thinks. I just think a lot more people could use a place like this. It is nice to have a personal health/ mental health place on the block. I do not like appearing to exclude anyone or any problem. I welcome any and all U-main problems that might feel isolating in some way. There are so many afected directly and those whom care about them. Sometimes it is nice to have an OK place for u-2 be the main one in your life for a moment.
I keep thinking we could help each other in more ways, but how?

I did suggest ages ago possibly expanding to cover any "medical" condition which in some way limits people & prevents them achieving their full potential; but didn't get much feedback.

As far as a "mentally healthy" supportive type place to go is concerned, there's always United Friends of h2g2 as well *hunts for link* A703126

--if anyone has any further thoughts, please let me know.

I'm I've been rather neglecting the Nation recently; I've been phenomenally busy in RL; which at least goes to show that there is every chance of people like us being incredibly active .... as long as it's on a GOOD day!
