Also, if anyone needs guides, meeting at stations etc, I'll try and arrange it.

Ahem. I may be having to be at work all day but that finishes at the usual work time and I think I've been persuaded to come for a drink.
PS shouldn't the pre-meet sub-title be hard core hangers on and drinkers only?

I reserve the right to turn up or not depending on how terrible my day at work is.

minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle! Posted Dec 21, 2011
I'm arriving around lunchtime on the Friday.
I'm sure Magwich could be persuaded to pick me up a litle later than that, or to come meet folk for a bit.

Appears I have open tickets. Just need to see when I can escape work, and get cab to King's Cross. But should reach Manchester around 19.00 or 20.00.
So expect me around 21.00. Unless I take the day off!

MMF, are you okay with stairs or would you like us to try and get some tables downstairs?

I am usually busy on Friday night, and I won't know for sure until a couple of weeks beforehand. I suppose I could head down after it, but it would be 10 PM at the earliest, so I'm not sure there's any point.

Pastry, stairs are a problem, especially if the bannisters stop on the top step.
However, there have been a number of occasions when I've had to resort to using a chair to escape a downstairs situation. I'm sure I'll cope. Just means severely restricting my alcohol intake!

I'll be arriving at Manchester International on Friday morning around 8:00 on the red eye. Anyone care to give me a lift to the hotel?

If the Landrover is running I will, but it's a bit poorly at the moment.
There is however a train station at the airport with an excellent cheap and frequent service straight into the city centre. I'd happily also meet you from the station
