That's the Charles St Ibis. There are 2 Ibis hotels in Manchester.

Does the one that we are staying it have a bar? And if we are residents I believe that the normally licensing regulations would not apply.

In fact, their website says it has a 'friendly bar'.

If you'd asked me around... I don't know... 10 years ago (?) I wouldn't have left until a place closed at 1 am and then usually continued to a place that had special permit to stay open until 3 am (I think Beatrice/Lucky Star will remember one such occasion in Stockholm).
These days, I seem to get sleepy much earlier in the evening. So finishing off the evening in the same building where my bed is sounds like a plan!

With the Thirsty Scholar, Revolution and the Lass O'Gowrie on the way, there is a short but creditable pub-crawl to be had between Font and Hotel Ibis. A judicious detour (or an injudicious stagger) could even take in Space, The Salisbury, Grand Central and Cornerhouse's bar.

Not heard of any of those.
Churchill's, Church, Long Bar, Swinging Sporran, Cyprus Tavern, John Bull, Tommy Ducks,
All probably now long since ...
Ah well. Pastures new!

Or was it just natural apathy?
Btw, is it possible to have a listing of who's in which hotel?
Might make it easier to Meet and Greet unfamiliar if we know which familiar
are booked in where?

The Swinging Sporan although no longer with us is actually still with us. These days the bar at the top of the concrete building opposite the Manchester University (north campus) gatehouse is called Retro Bar.
There are a couple more bars/clubs between Font and the Charles St Ibis hotel that were missed. Joshua Brooks across the river from the Lass and opposite that is what is now known as FaƧ251 a club in the old Factory records building. Both of those are just over Princess St from the hotel.

Don't B&B's have curfews though? I remember almost being refused entry into one in Brum because our train was late getting into New Street and we arrived after - - 10 pm.

Ok, after hassle from Mala and Mini I'm in the 'I'm going to come but haven't booked hotel yet' group. Friday is debatable depending on work.
If I do make it Friday, any early friday visitors wanna try the manchester police museum?
Might try and tempt Menthol Penguin too.

The police museum only opens Tuesdays. Yeah, try figuring the reasoning behind that one out.
