Okay, I booked my flights this morning. . My hands were shaking.
Which hotels should put on my short list? Pastey recommended the Ibis. Any other suggestions?

Well, MMF, Beatrice and I are staying at the Ibis on Charles Street, if you want to join us.
I must admit I didn't really look around, though, so I can't advise anything...

The Ibis on Charles Street is 5 minutes walk from the evening venue. It's a good, if studenty area of the city centre. It's close to main line stations, and I know where it is

I think I'll be going in for the Ibis as well. It seems reasonably priced enough.

That would be an impressive feat: that hotel is about 15 storeys tall!

Isn't The Ibis on Portland Street?

I think there are two, ironically both on Princess Street. One is on a corner with Portland Street, the other on a corner with Charles Street, just opposite a club called Fac251.

I've only been once, and it had potential. If only it hadn't been at least a third too crowded, far too expensive at the bar, and tending to snatch away nearly-full drinks if they were out of your actual hands for more than a second...

Anyone still interested in sharing a room, possibly in a hostel? I can afford the flights, but hotels are too expensive.
