How 'bout dem Seachickens?

66 in one year? F*** me!!!!!!!!
sorry about the obsenity but I feel it's the best way to emphasise my surprise... all I seem to remember is reading season stats stating 12 carries for minus 10 yards...
Blimey... 66

I'll go for something like 975 career yards...
No worries going off topic. The Chickens front office seems to have gone to sleep for the time being...

According to my sources http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/MariDa00.htm
Marino's career rushing stats are
Regular season - 301 for 87yds
Post season - 15 for -1yd
Of course like any QB these are 'ruined' by having to take a knee at the end of half ...
By comparison Jim Kelly, IMHO another relatively pocket-passing QB, 304 carries for 1049 yards ('86-96).

so he got 66 in one season and 21 in the other 16 seasons... of all the top-notch QB's, I think Marino was probably the worst runner.. good job he was the best passer eh?

Interestingly looking at the stats, he had positive yardage in 90,91,92 and a couple of other years - but that was it. Any ideas why?

WooHoo! We signed long snapper JP D'Arche to multiyear contract. Sorts out all those defensivce worries in one go...
Still, we have apparently been in contact with Jumior Seau's agent as well as Arizona and the Lions.
Thought we might have learnt about aging talent from the Kirkland disaster...

Yeah, that disaster that proved an effective two-down run stuffing MLB for a top-rated defensive NFC Championship contending team!!! How'd the Hawks run D fair last year?
J.P Darche... after the Giants playoff woes last year, this might be the best re-signing your guys have made

Well yes, point taken...
Passing camp opened today, without Jackson, though reports say both he and Holmgren have 'no worries' about the situation. Jackson said it was 'just business' while Holmgren said that he knew Jackson 'knows he's my guy'.
So looks like thatis all but a done deal. Now we just have to wait on Chike Okeafor, I guess...

Given that Holliday is clearly a crock, frankly we may do better to take one of the two immediate starter DE's listed in the top 15 draft picks...
I forgot to mention that Jackson is apparently worth a first round pick in compensation if he leaves, which is another reason we are reasonably confident he'll be staying, apparently...

Chike Okeafor itis, another drawn to us by Ray Rhodes.
That boy best be good at finding the potential in these players...

So the boy Holmes has signed for Detroit.
Reckon an ILB in the draft is looking more likley every day...

Indeed...
and, regarding Detroit, I may be wrong but I get the feeling their signings have become a little more sensible since Mariucci became coach... reckon he's having a positive influence on Millen?

I'd guess...Mind you, anything would be more sensible than they way they were carrying on.
Fancy opening a book on how many more seasons Gruden's gonna stay at Tampa, and where he'll go after that?

I think the Glazers would rather see McKay out before Gruden, granting Gruden full power...

In a move that appears to make no apparent sense, we've traded an undisclosed 2004 draft pick for Falcons perenially injured (started 4 games in 3 seasons) OT Michael Thompson...
Given that we have a starter at RT in Chris Terry, that he isn't going to replace Walter Jones and the strength in depth of the tackles isn't bad enough to warrant a walking Dr's Bill like Thompson being classified as an upgrade, one wonders what that is all about...

It's a 2004 6th rounder... Miami traded for him first, giving up a 2004 7th rounder (which would turn into a 5th if he participated in 50% of Miami's offensive plays). The deal was cencelled when he, guess what, failed a physical with the Fins... The Hawks immeadiately jumped in...
Whatever his injury problems, he appears to have ability that has teams fighting for his services... I'm not sure where they've seen evidence of this ability though...
Key: Complain about this post
