That's right Mrs Z. I'm just getting my crib notes together, so I don't get tripped up, as we're intercontinental. It won't be a massively tiring walk, with plenty of time to chat, shop and either sup smiley - ale or smiley - coffee / smiley - tea on route.

If wet, there are two art galleries close by, being the National and the National Portrait, and / or a number of churches.

I'm afraid, good as I like to think I am, I cannot control the weather...

I may be able to get pocket pacamacs, if people don't want to pak heavy coats. Just let me know.

kelli - ran 2 miles a day for 2012, aiming for the same for 2013

*tries to pretend that that 'either' didn't appear in my previous post*

Hmmm. Not sure about a sightseeing walk, my two don't really do strolling along taking in the atmosphere unless they can run and climb on the scenery, which might be a tad stressful on busy london streets. Will think about it though, in case we could meet up to say hello and then take them off to the natural history museum or something. I'll see what J says about me coming in the evening on my own - this sort of thing is tricky to negotiate as we haven't seen much of each other lately due to me being off at the hospital whenever he has been available to look after the kids. I should have thought about this before but everything has been so up in the air lately smiley - sadface

I still think that 12.00 is way too early, so if it stays at that I'll join you all later. smiley - smiley

Bel, I'm flexible as to time. It could take a couple of hours for us to get to T.S. or it could be an hour. I'm working on two. You have my mobile number, so call me when you arrive.

Mrs Zen

Does anyone really really want it to be 12:00? What was the reason for chooosing 12:00 in the first place? (I'm easy either way, btw)

I don't know. I understood that the walk would take two to three hours.
I know some people will only arrive in London after 12, so I suggested to meet at 2.00, which would still leave us with enough time for a leisurely walk before hitting the pub at about 5.00, and those arriving later could still join us on the walk. smiley - smiley

Gnomon - time to move on

I'm confused.

MMF says "It could take a couple of hours for us to get to T.S. "

I presume TS is Trafalgar Square. But I thought the walk was _starting_ at Trafalgar Square, at 12:00. So are you actually starting somewhere else? Or are you saying that you might be a couple of hours late starting?

The verdict just came in from the Lotto gods: You have won. But only £9.54.
I'm afraid this means I will now definitely not be attending this year smiley - sadface

Try not to be too heartbroken over this and have a splendid weak end! smiley - smiley

Could we have a decision on the time to be at Tragalgar Sq. I think 2.00pm would be a good starting time for a stroll down the Strand but I'll be there whatever time we agree, just so long as we agree smiley - biggrin
