Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~

When I arrived in Rome for xmas and new years it was raining the first day (and the first day only) and i could barely walk from one street corner to the other without being harrased by people wanting to sell me 'umbrella, umbrella'
I thought I'd better bring my own brollie the next time I went out, but did that stop them? Hardly! smiley - rofl

Here's hoping you will all have a nice dry weak end smiley - grovel

I expect to pack an umbrella. I have various waterproof overcoats, but I had hoped they wouldn't be needed. This was to be the time I packed lightly -- only one suitcase. Don't know if that's going to be possible, but I'll try. smiley - flustered

Installed at hotel, WLAN is working and I've got plenty of free time in front of me smiley - somersault The latter is not usual, almost scary. Can't remember when that happened last. Me with time off I mean...

I arrived in Victoria this morning at 5, and I also have my umbrella, so I zill complain VERY LOUDly if we do have rain in spite of all the precautions ze've taken!! smiley - laugh

smiley - yikes Gaah! Who's stolen my W?
Ah, I see. It's a QWERTY keyboard. smiley - laugh

I'm staying in a youth hostel just next door to Saint Paul's Cathedral. Very nice chimes they have there. smiley - biggrin

National Gallery sounds fine in case of rain, but I'll just (smiley - sheep) follow the crowd so if people prefer something else, I'm fine with it. It's more about being together, really, isn't it?
.... Even the Tate Modern isn't *that* bad, when you visit it with friends! smiley - biggrin

London is a huge place. We could have all the H2G2 Researchers at once, and they wouldn't bump into each other unless they wanted to.

I very much doubt that Mme Leggster will have to be encouraged to consume smiley - ale - and that nobody will be able to protect theirs if he is enclined to drink it...

By the way, I don't mind being part of the team to fetch Paulh; do we have a time yet? It might have been said before, but I can't seem to find it. smiley - shrug

Kelli, in the afternnoon, (12:01 as Gnomon pointed out), we're having a sightseeing walk from Trafalgar Square, I think it's going down the strand

We're dragging along a couple of non-hootizens with us because it was the only time we could catch up with them, and they have a 3 year old daughter.
