I will come if at all possible, depends on the date.

I'm really trying to make this happen this year, especially with all the upheaval with the site. So put me down as tentative for now.

Yes (so far).

Final count:
7 votes for the 16th April.
7 votes for the 14th May.
5 votes for the 7th May.
4 votes for the 21st May.

I then looked at the 2 dates that have tied and eliminated people who voted in both threads to see if there was a difference in "unique votes". But there isn't. Each vote has 3 repeaters and 4 unique votes.

Any ideas to resolve this? I didn't vote myself, but if I was pushed to make a casting vote I'd go for 14th May.

Or does anyone want to flip a coin?

I cannot see why you should not cast the final vote, but if the majority wants somebody to flip a coin it should be somebody who has not voted for either date, imo.

I haven't voted at all, considering that I am a maybe anyway. But if I'd vote, I'd go for May 14th.

Does anyone know if the SRG are planning a meet in May? They have complained about a clash in the past, but I can't find any reference to one this year.

If not, and people are happy with 14th May, that seems like a good day. DNA died 10 years ago on 11th May 2001, and maybe this year more than ever, we need our toast to absent friends.

I've just put something else into my calender that I've been meaning to do for ages, and it's on the 14th of May. Is it too late to retract my vote?

I do like the Towel Day connotations, but I won't be able to attend if it's on that day.

Anyway May 14th should be OK, I guess. I'll do my very best to get some time off w*rk. There's a big event at w*rk the week after, but I don't intend to get too involved in that anyway.

Put me up as a possible for the time being, and I'll get back as soon as I know.

I feel sheepish about admitting it but I forgot to vote.I very much approve of May 14, though. I'm happy that that's the date. I'm sad too, though, because it means I won't get to meet Pierce the Pirate. April 16 was the latest date that he could make....

My vote was late - if the consensus is that date, it's that date. I just expect a splendid meet report, that's all.

I can come, assuming I am not actualy in labour or wrestling a very small person. This is a distinct possibility, mind, but I shall do my best to avoid chilli and such.

I'm going to stick my neck out and make the decision. 14th May it is. That way people can start making plans and booking tickets etc.
