The Road to Town
Garius Lupus Posted Jun 13, 2002
*Comes out onto the trail, just in time to see an Ape galloping off. Fires at the Ape, without much hope of hitting him. Turns around and makes his way back to the road, almost losing his way several times. Thinks that in a short time, all trace of his passage through the grass would be gone and that entering the grass then would be a sure way to get lost. Gets back on his horse.*
Just a single Ape, Munchers. But now they'll know we're coming.

Hmm, what, an Ape you say, where was that? Never saw a dashed thing.

Munchkin Posted Jun 13, 2002
Ah. Hurumph! Yes well, it would probably be even more spiffy if some blighter hadn't tried to shoot me. Oh how those bounders are going to pay.

Carmel Dear, dear, we had best move out or we'll fall behind and be lost again. Come on girls, giddy-up! Gee and haw and stuff!
*the pugs look ather as if she were crazy, something they're breed does exceptionally well*
Mush?
*the pugs continue to stare, now cocking their heads in a classic pug head rachet*
Go out? Away to me?
*the pugs snigger, but decide they have tormented Carmel quite enough. They follow the rest of the party at a trot.*

*keeping the others in sight......just*
I wish I knew where that bike had gone.

Rev. Elijah Lovejello Posted Jun 13, 2002
*Finding himself in the middle of the posse, gets very nervous and decides to cover it up by chatting.*
An ape in the grass, eh? There's nothing I dislike so much as an ape in the grass, unless it is an ape on a horse in the grass, or an ape wearing a waistcoat. If the Good Jello had meant an ape to be wearing a waistcoat, he would have given the ape a tailor.
*clears throat*
So does anyone know if the Test Mint is very important? I usually concern myself with affairs of the spirit, not material things you see, and I have not had much dealings with Test Mints.

*Still with the Reverend*
Ah'm sure that if the Test Mint was important, it would've fallen from the sky with the Will.
Reverend, yew seem to be rather flushed. Are yew all right?

*on a distant hill a flash from a heliograph is briefly seen*

*sauntering along... can just about see the others in the group fore and aft... suddenly wonders what a heliograph is...*

*some distance away behind them, the stagecoach arrives at the edge of the prairie, creaking and groaning*

Munchkin Posted Jun 14, 2002
Indeed my good Reverend, everyone and everything should know its place. And most people should also know not to try and shot me.
Any old shoes, I would have thought a test mint was not to important, surely the full production versions are worth more.

*on the stagecoach* holding on tight* feeling a little travel sick*
This is a tough way to travel!
*shades eyes and stares across the Prairie*
I can see some of the Posse up ahead.

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Jun 14, 2002
Do you think you could fly ahead and ask them to wait for us, Amy? Besides, I think your DFB is more comfortable to ride than the coach...
