You have to go along and do something appropriate given the events that have happened. If you personally think that staying still is OK then you may stay still. AMCJ for one has gone along with the events and you might find that it is condusive to the storyline as well for you to "play along" without getting hung up about continuity.

just relax and enjoy the adventure - the people doing all the hard work behind the scenes to make this fun for you have your best intrests in mind. A lot of work has gone into this - just have a bit of trust and get into it. If you go with the flow you'll see how well it turns out. It's not silly - it's fun.
