I hope dear Lurcher that you're okay
it seems like years since you went away
I've tried my best to post you know
but last week was grim so I was slow

Now here's some for a brigher day
when we both have time to talk and play
Until then dear friend please do get well
so we can both drink and raise a little hell!

(now that was quite ladylike don't you think?)

I would have called but lost the way,
I found it's been that kind of day.
In fact it's been that kind of week,
Although I couldn't call it bleak.
My rhyming genes had let me down,
And all I did was stand and frown.
What is this world so full of care,
If all I do is stand here bare.
It seems indecent, bound to shock,
But it's ok, I wear a sock.

Michele, I admire your decorum
you light up this, or any forum
And Mistadrong, I must say that
you are the most amusing Bat

A few more days, and I should know
how things are working out, and so
keep visiting, or you`ll be missed
and hopefully soon we`ll all get pi***d

Wonky wonky, winky winky, wanky wanky woo -
I got skunked and fell into my shoe
farfy farfy, fuffer fuffer, fifer fifer fay -
I would have climbed out but my cat was in the way
hobble hobble, heeple heeple, hokem hokem huk -
Now my tongue resembles a hockey puck!

(looks around for Lurcher - doesn't see him yet, but keeps the iced just in case!)

Oh, no, rhymes are my weakness! ,Stops to give Lurcher his ,

*does a bit of the ole "soft shoe", spins around twice and drinks an on behalf of Lurcher*

*Taps on the door - looks in, sees no one. Walks into room - stirs embers in fire - adds another log in preparation for Lurcher's return. Puts some in the fridge. Dusts (but makes sure not to disturb the cobwebs) looks worried as she leaves...*

*Thinks how nice it is to have caring friends*



*Settles down to get to know the surroundings again*

Server is extremely slow - will talk to you later!

*sneaks in - gives Lurcher a , leaves him a bottle of cognac (for medicinal purposes only - when he's feeling better!) sneaks back out again*

*Takes a long drink of the cognac (purely for medicinal purposes), and makes a note to tell Michele how nice her new hairdo looks*

(by the way Lurcher - you need to check out that conversation between AR1 and I again - I left you a message there...) I have a feeling that I shocked the heck out of AR1! (Oh well, I guess my halo had slipped that day!)

Shame on you, you brazen hussy!!
You`ll probably find AR doesn`t shock too easily, although she just might. But with the catalogue of ailments, etc, she has to cope with, she must have got used to taking a wide view of everthing, if you know what I mean.
BTW, infections are not ALWAYS below the belt you know

*Scrapes the cobwebs off the doorframe, looks inside, decides to come back later*

*taps lightly on the door (no answer) opens the door and peeks in. The room is dark, fireplace is cold and the curtains are drawn. Michele steps in, places a covered basket by the sofa*

Just as I thought, Lurcher's not back yet! Well this won't do at all! Rolls up her sleeves, opens the drapes, places some logs in the fireplace and starts a nice cheery fire. Dusts, goes over to the basket and takes out a fresh bunch of heather, places it in a vase on the fireplace (to get the musty smell out of the room) takes a covered plate of cookies out and puts them on the table next to Lurcher's chair. Goes back and grabs the basket and carries it over to the fridge - opens the fridge door "Wow, I don't think I've ever seen cobwebs in a fridge before!" Wipes out the fridge, puts 8 - 9 bottles of in the fridge, some sliced cheese and fresh grapes. Leaves a box of assorted crackers on the cabinet top, gathers the basket and as she prepares to leave she has one last look around the room. Mmmm... smells lived in now!

Writes a quick note to Lurcher: I have feeling you're around thought I'd drop in and give the place a once-over before you got back - talk to you soon,
