However, I had to clean the place because the dust was so thick that even the fleas gave up and left! Now where has that wolf gone to?

*sweeps, dusts, open up the windows to let the spring air in and the musty air out, vacuums, fluffs the pillows, places some lavender and heather in a vase by the fireplace*

Well, that should fix him up for awhile...

There just aint no substitute for good friends..

It's been a he** of a year luv... time to settle in, heal and enjoy ourselves! There's always more troubles knocking at the door, trying to get in. Let's just leave them outside to fend for themselves for a bit shall we dear?

Hootoo is about as attractive as an enema, at the moment. Seriously thinking about abandoning ship. It`s only folk like yourself, Batty, Paul,etc, and precious few others that keep me logging on.
What has happenened?
Whatever, we, and our mates, can still keep in contact.
We have the technology
(totally pissed off, bored,disillusioned,unhappy,) otherwise reasonably, er, sane, for want of a better phrase, but fed up to the back teeth with a declining web site.
And...it`s nearly 3 months since I had a fag...(but who`s counting)?

I know what you mean!

I have been really busy lately! Woohoo! New customers (two more this week) and a part time job in the evenings that I start on Tuesday. Plus Dave (the guy who so kindly lets me office with him) has been swamped the past two weeks, so I've been helping him out. He had to let his one full time employee go as he (along with myself) was very slow over the winter. So now that he's swamped, I help him out, and he calls in temps for the big jobs. He doesn't charge me any rent, so I help him out any time I can because I hate to feel like a mooch. His employee that he had to let go got a job working full time painting interiors and exteriors for a builder. And Dave doesn't want to tell him that he has work for him (Dave paid him more) because he doesn't want this guy to quit his painting job and find out that the recent busy season was short-lived and have to let him go again. So I've been helping Dave in the warehouse, and I keep telling him that I think he's trying to kill me! I haven't worked this hard in years!

Anyway, it's off to bed for me luv. I've got a sinus infection/cold/sore throat/drainage thing going on, and I can't sleep because it tickles my throat and I feel like I'm choking. So I wake myself up coughing several times every half hour. What with this cold, all the physical labor I'm doing, and the meetings for the new networking group I joined... I'm exhausted!

Oh where or where has my little Lurcher gone, oh where oh where has he gone?

With his hair so gray and his teeth so white, I sure wish he wont be gone long...

*steps inside the door, peers around at the layer of dust and cobwebs coating everything , opens up the windows, cleans out the fireplace & fridge, sweeps the dust out the door, dusts all the surfaces (making sure not to harm the s).

Steps back outside and brings in a basket loaded with fresh spring flowers and some potted cooking herbs (thyme, basil, rosemary, oregano & dill). Places the flowers in a vase by the fireplace and the potted herbs in the window box outside the window. Stops for a minute to watch the on the shrubs outside.

Washes the pillows, blankets, curtains and all the upholstery down. Polishes all the woodwork, brass & silver.

Places some fresh lemons & limes in a basket on the countertop. Restocks the fridge with McLurchers "Spring" blend and some McLurchers "Original" brew. Places some bottles of scotch, vodka, gin, sherry, whiskey, tequila, rum, brandy, & in the cabinet. Takes several different types of cheeses out of the basket and places them on a shelf in the fridge, along with a loaf each of rye, sourdough & french bread, a quart of milk, , a , some beef brisket, smoked turkey, pastrami and a meatloaf. Places a bag of and some boxes of assorted crackers in the cupboard.

Restocks the bins of potatoes, onions, yams & mushrooms under the counter. Puts a tin of shortbread cookies on the table next to the wingbacked chair.

Surveys everything and is satisfied. There! Now Lurcher will be nice and comfy when he gets here!

Grabs the now empty basket, her cleaning supplies, fluffs up the cushions in Lurchers favorite chair one more time and blows a into the air knowing Lurcher will get it when he returns. Whistles a merry tune while she closes the door behind her
