Oh well,
*leaves second best and only pair of goggles at foot of Apollos shrine*
*looks around furtively and then quickly puts down shoebox containing the neighbor's obnoxious gray *

A CAT!!!
Out, out, out!! No cats allowed in here!!
This is a dogs only shrine...but if you really want to pay homage, a slice of always hits the spot

Sorry, didn't mean to offend the gods! I'll go stuff the cat in a different shrine.
See if I can whip up a cheesecake... in the mean time, we have this huge trifle sitting in the fridge. Wanna slice?

You may wanna drop the cat off over at SaturnGirl's shrine... they're all cat lovers over the there.
And, as long as you're offering, I couldn't pass up a bit of trifle

Leo Posted Aug 20, 2004
you got it!
*serves up huge platter of trifle*
My little sister made it for her birthday. Its a recipe that can feed 20 people for 2 weeks, and there are exactly 4 of us at home.
Have some more.
*brings out trifle bowl*
I'll take your advice about the cat.
While I'm here, I'll ask some advice of the great god Apollo. Where can I find out about making badges in Guide ML? Like that nifty god badge I have. How do you design something like that?

*wanders into Apollo's Shrine carrying the that was left at her shrine earlier. The is purring happily, curled up in Saturn Girl's arms*

*scowls at the cat, but decides tolerance is better than confrontation when it comes to SaturnGirl *
Well LeoAlpha, I basically learned how to do it by taking some badges I'd already found and "tweaking" their GuideML. It isn't too hard to figure out, and sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error. The H2G2 God badge is basically just a chart...if you're wondering about more complicated ones, that are actually images, you've definitely asked the wrong guy. If you are wondering about something specific though, I'd be more than happy to try and help.

Thanks, I was thinking about doing something like that, but figured there was probably an easier way.
I can see from your response to SaturnGirl and her cat thatthere is a lot less quarrelling up here then on the Mt. Olympus of legend. Have the gods been reading marriage-counseling books?
*to SaturnGirl* You can keep him. I think his name is "Get lost you obnoxious black cat" but I'm not sure.

Oh we still have plenty of quarrels... in fact, SaturnGirl and I's battles are quite legendary! (See the Battle of the Gods, which you can get to from the Olympus page)
We've become a bit more calm with each other in our old age though... lately, we find it more entertaining to start spats with mortals and watch it play out

oh, the godly version of gladiators! Fun!
I'm off for the next three days. I'll look up a cheesecake in Boston.

Cheesecake, where?

Leo Posted Aug 25, 2004
sorry. nowhere. But I just got back from Boston- can I interest you in a Boston Cream Pie? The very best in the town, pointed out to me by a rotund and enthusiastic trolly driver.

...you do realize it's considered suicide to tempt a goddess with cheesecake, then take it back and pretend it's all okay.

Oh great goddess,
forgive me,
I'm only a god in training
I'm young and foolish
