Anyone catch the Doctor Who Prom yesterday? I'm currently listening to it on iPlayer and it's very, very good.
In the interval there's someone (I didn't catch her name) giving her opinions on the show, looking at it quite critically and drawing out some interesting stuff.

I heard the Dr Who Prom too. Thought I'd put something a bit different on to listen to while ironing yesterday! Although am gutted as I missed seeing the little video scene they did. I thought it was going to be on the Dr. Who site for longer than just the interval! It was daft really, something as popular as Dr. Who, you would've thought the whole prom could've been put on BBC4 rather than marginalising it on radio 3. They had appearances from the Sontarans, Daleks and Davros. Would've been good fun for the kids to see it on telly.

I'm willing to bet folding money that it'll be an extra on the Season 4 DVD set. It better be at any rate.

Would be good to actually see it. Heard it was happening but hadn't realised it had already gone out, if only in audio form. When it's on tv can someone let us know?

I'm not sure, but they've broadcast previous Who Proms on red button on Christmas Day.
And you can watch the little scene on YouTube. Fun!

I particularly like this:-
"If people are worried that because I'm taking over Doctor Who it's going to be just really, really frightening, if that's your concern then… tough."

Moffat has also said that we can't expect all episodes to be dark as it's still a kids TV show, he was the one who wrote those dark episodes. He won't be writing all the episodes.
So, it will be more of the same with twists etc. Hopefully, the humour will be sharper, one only has to look at Coupling to see how he can mix drama & comedy.
