not sure now, those sort of one off baddies who do their thing then disappear in not entirely final ways only to maybe come back and haunt us at some point in the future all seem to blend into one in the end. Heck, given that, it could be Thatcher
Hmm. *Thinks* there's a certain degree of similarity between the Mrs. T spitting image puppet and the aforementioned Dr. Who baddy.

It was the Doctor snapping his fingers at the Tardis last week that made me think of Adam.

My guess would be that the soldier is in an alternative Earth where he (the soldier) was never killed by the Sontarans, but where the Doctor is dead.
Mind you, my guess about the Vashtu Nerada being on Donna's back doesn't appear to have measured up to much...

>it could be Thatcher<
That was my first choice of name when 'decade as a scum' was mentioned but I thought it not as contemporary.

that's an interesting parrallel universe theory. I'd always wondered about the one Rose gotr trapped in, whether Gallifrey and the Doc were still about, whether she'd meet the alternate Doc, etc. Might be interesting to explore that area.

Saturdays episode put me in mind of the Star Trek TNG episode where Ryker Data and O'Biran are possesed by entities trying to escape a prison planet...............comments anyone???????

Good point NPY - we know Rose is coming back, and we know she's in a parallel universe. I guess that you-know-which-villain survived the Time War in that universe.

SPOILER WARNING!
Someone told me this morning that Captain Jack is dying for good, which I don't believe, it's too good to be true, Rose and Martha are joining Torchwood and Gwen is taking over.
Also, there is a possibility that The Doctor may regenerate into a woman.
Dr Who.
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jun 18, 2008
well, we've already seen Capn Jack die, and it's a long way off yet (in his personal timeline) so that won't be happening.
Rose and Martha in Torchwood with Gwen taking over? Sounds like someone's personal fantasy to me.
There is indeed a possibility that the Doctor will regen into a woman. just not a very large one, and not for at least another series and a half (well, if you call the specials next year a series).
Think someone is just idly speculating there, nowt concrete.

"There is indeed a possibility that the Doctor will regen into a woman. just not a very large one,"
Just to clarify, I meant not a very large chance, not 'not a very large woman'.

had to do a double-take of that post before I worked out what you meant. On first pass I wondered why you thought the Doctor would have to turn into some sort of Mrs Pepperpot.

Not familiar with the Curse of The Fatal Death? Youtube it. (I think is that a verb now? must be.)

Hello Clive, long time no speak! Wots your thoughts on the possible outcome of the last episodes??
I think this parallel universe business with Rose coming back and all could be interesting.
yeah, I would've thought "Youtube" is probably a verb by now...After all, google is..
the only thing that still bugs me is "texted" I never think it sounds right as a past tense....

A thought occurs to me. Maybe we have already seen the outcome of the last few episodes. eloisa asked if we were back in time, and I think we might be. I'm guessing the events of the last few episodes happen before the first episode of season 4. So these episodes reveal the reason for the disappeared bees, and somewhere toward the end of the last episode, Rose will be standing in a crowd outside an office block, with her job done and the universe saved - at which point Donna will walk up, say that the car keys are in the bin and run off. She then, knowing that the circle is complete, can walk off back into the alternate universe.

Except if that were true then Donna would recognise Rose, and she didn't seem to.

Geggs Posted Jun 18, 2008
No, I mean that in ep1 Donna met the Rose of ep13. And that in ep13 Rose will meet the Donna of ep1.
So Rose will have recognised Donna, but Donna didn't recognise Rose. In fact when Rose turned to camera at that moment her expression was somewhat hard. A kind of emotionless hard stare. Like someone not giving away a fairly big and nasty spoiler.
But when they meet in ep11 - this Saturday - Donna will recognise Rose, but Rose won't recognise Donna. Because, from Rose's perspective, that scene hasn't happened yet.
