Yep cars are important to me....I'm what they call a bit of a car nut and I've always had a passion for old cars especially. This has been mainly focussed on VW's but I've had others. Ultimatly I buy a car if it has some hard to determine but essential quantity...a Soul! 
My cars, and I have photos of all of them (I can probably remember the licence plates without looking as well!).
1st - 1972 Volkswagen Beetle 1303s (Alaska Metallic Blue) - Beetly
2nd - 1985 Mark 2 Ford Fiesta (Red) - Freddy
3rd - 1972 Volkswagen Beetle 1303s (Gold) - Benson
4th - 1978 British Leyland Mark 4 Mini (Yellow) - Bumbly
5th - 1984 Mark 3 Ford Escort Ghia (Black) - Eric
6th - 1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia (Green) - Gracie (see this..A19441541)
7th - 1969 Morris Minor (Blue Grey) - Morris
8th - 1996 Mitsubishi FTO GPX (Moonlight Blue) - Effy
Unforetunately my current car isn't a classic but Effy is still a car with a soul. In fact its inspired me to write this...A8240131

That's a bit of a change - a Beetle to an FTO!
Good article, by the way - desparately showing the need for this site to make adding pics easier!
I may be mistaken, but I believe that when the UK National Lottery was first introduced, the FTO was the most frequently chosen sports car bought by winners!
