I've always felt a kind of pride & fondness for each of the cars owned by my family - but that's it, they were family cars. Also I wasn't much of a driver.
It wasn't until I became the named owner of a brand new Volvo 850 that I had anything like a sentimental attachment. As the primary driver I felt quite possessive. Naming cars has only come about if the number plates suggested something - this one was Peggy. I fully expected to drive it until worn out - after 14 years only very low mileage, still in very good condition. Scrappage deals sounded attractive, but I didn't feel ready to let my car go...
then having looked at a few new cars, I got quite excited...
rather sad to leave my beloved Volvo behind at the garage, but now I'm the proud owner of a brand new Kia ceed SW & I love it!

It must have been hard to bid farewell to Peggy but we duly note but the brand new Kia has replaced it in your affections! Does Kia have a name?
