Many many thanks to the BBC for nearly 10 years of advert-free fun, games and learning.
Monday is a National Holiday in Germany, so I'll be keeping my finger over F5 all day!

I think the song "Wishful Thinking" by Rupa and the April Fishes sums it up perfectly: I want to go, but I'll kiss you goodbye. Thanks, Eds.

I'm going to miss you. However I will still be a member of the BBC site and I will still be making comments when and where I have an interest.

Anhaga, we expect the BBC to freeze the site relatively early on Monday morning, but we don't know exactly when. We really don't know how long the foop will be, that depends on when Pasty and Brian are done stitching the new sign-in system to the site and when we've put up some help pages.

That's all assuming that time, as we know it, is still time as we want it to be, and as it should have been heretofore. Timeliness is next to Godliness.

My hearty thanks to the Italics for all the help over the past decade.
D2K would not have been the same without them.

Thanks, Eds, and thanks all at the BBC who were involved with H2G2, for the hospitality, the care and the good times.
Be well, and (hopefully) be seeing you!

The new BBC Home Page :- http://beta.bbc.co.uk/
Links to 'Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy' via the Full A to Z Index.
From that page you can link to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/ in Barlesque.
It will be interesting to see how the BBC rid themselves of links to the h2g2 community.
Is it the intention to retain h2g2 archives on the BBC servers with access in Barlesque format ?
No updating of course.
Presumably access to the BBC using the single sign up with our existing ID will be retained and a new sign up will be set up for the new h2g2. At the moment this URL http://www.h2g2.com takes you to the BBC Barlesque page.
