Well done Eds for all the hard work that you have done in running H2G2. I am going with a lot of good memories of H2G2 which will be long cherished.
Farewell to Thee! But not farewell
To all my fondest thoughts of Thee;
Within my heart they still shall dwell
And they shall cheer and comfort me.

The BBC is one of the classiest entities anywhere. For ten years I've been proud to come here from the other side of the Atlantic. Now that H2G2 will no longer be affiliated with the Beeb, I will still hold a warm sport for it in my heart. Ten years ago, the BBC didn't have to take on the foundering H2G2 site, but it did so anyway. I sincereely thank the BBC for this generous act, and wish it the best in the years to come. Budget constraints are terrible. I don't know anyone that hasn't been feleing them in one way or another. I understand that the BBC had to find a new home for H2G2, and in retrospect I see that it did a very good job of ifnidng one. Would that all sites got the same loving outplacement!

Do our beeb eds know what they will be doing in times to come? In any case we will have to find a way to drop christmas cards with some

As a fellow trans-Atlantican, well put, Paul. For years now I have felt honoured to have the BBC logo above my writing in the Edited Guide.
Here's wishing all the Editors, past and present, a prosperous future.

Nbb,
Some will be in the new Media Centre in Salford. Some will be dispersed to other areas. And others will be pursuing different areas of their career.
We all wish them luck with their choices
lil x

On behalf of Jim Jimcracker7
He isn't able to get to a PC at the moment, but he telephone me and me to pass on his message.
"Thanks Eds for the time I've had from 2002, along with the ups and downs the site has gone through, from digibox to PC, then back to the digibox, I've stuck with good old h2g2, and hope that in time I will be on more often after the changeover, I have found a reasonable cybercafe, till I can consider another go on a home computer setup. I won't be able to use the link to the forum till the new home for h2g2 is up and running, but as Arnie in the Terminator film said,'I'll be back'." lol Jim

Ancient Brit
I second that!
Let's hope we can do the eds proud and turn h2g2 into something it could have become if the BBC had given us/been able to give us a bit more slack.
And may I apologise to all the eds I've moaned and cursed at on site over the years..y.ou didn't (always) deserve it.
