I might not be able to cross over to the new site.
I foolishly let my old email address expire. A few days ago, I went to puti n a new one in its place, but it was blocked because the new one is no longer valid.
Is there any way to get the BBC to let it go through? If not, can I wait until the site is under new auspices, and ask them to do it then>

I'll let others answer the question of how to fix your current account, but remember that, if all else fails, you could just open a new one. Single Sign On resulted in a lot of replacement accounts. I'm pretty sure they're working to minimize that this time.

Rather than opening new accounts, if you get no joy at the beeb hang fire. We're putting the transfer system in place and it may well solve your problems, or at least help you know where to get them solved.

We've gone through a *lot* of scenarios for different situations of reuniting users with their accounts. We're currently getting our version of h2g2 up and running, then shortly we'll put in the new login system and the account transfer process, but so far it all seems to be going smoothly.
As a great man once said, Don't Panic.
Although the first draft apparantly said Don't Picnic, after s particularly bad experience with ants in Regents Park.
