Well, we wouldn't want to disappoint you by coming up with new ones.

But can we just say again how sorry we are that these server problems are getting in the way of you conducting your business as usual on the site. If it's any consolation, they're affecting us too, within the Beeb. But the teams here are doing all they can - admirably slaving away in a Scotty from Star Trek kind of way. But it seemed like in the last few days it had got better, so please let us know if you're having any major problems.

Currently my PC is causing me a lot more problems than hootoo does.

Then again, I haven't been online much, so I wouldn't have noticed whether it is better or worse.

I've not noticed nearly as many errors the last few days. Either the IT s are blessing us, or maybe the interruptions have chased away some of the overburdening traffic. (I'm hoping for the former.)

About an hour ago, I started to say the same...

...and the post didn't go through, and I got an error message.

But I think it's much better.

ive not been able to get on here in less than 20mins at the library, and at least 15 mins at the local cyber.

the cyber is offline, and im at the library, it took me only 10 mins to get in today. so something must be going right.

and no 500 errors as of now, and straight back to the ps after a message. before it went front page. J.H.D.

as I've just been "yiked" (Saturday) again by the "I'll amend my P/S" and it disappears along with all my "leave a message" threads Gremlins will this glitch be eradicated with the "new" hootoo format ?

Prof, what makes you think there are Gremlins at work? That feature is intentional. Your home page needs to be checked by moderators, so until it is, it is hidden. They've obviously looked at it now and it has been cleared and is visible.

Yes, he lost his Message Centre and his PS after changing something on his intro page.

I told him there is a glitch when he phoned me earlier this evening

I altered googlemail to gmail in my P/S and ZAPP! "leave a message" threads AND P/S gone - now back "as posted"




By the way! The Ed's have had a apology from me

Prof's personal space is just so dodgy that anytime he makes a change, the mods are alerted.

But I don't know why the messages would disappear at the same time.
