You can call me TC

No - nice-looking girl, but don't think she's Trillian. Someone with Sandra Bullock's sort of personality, but completely different looks. Or maybe some ex Bond girl.

"Mr. Roadkill! The director said he'd quit if he doesn't get a pay raise. The two assistant directors say they'll quit if they don't get raises either."

Someone suggested Ronnie Ancona for Trillian earlier, which could work...

"Hey, who pressed the Infinite Improbability Drive?"
"Well, oi di'n't!"

Or maybe she could play it as Peggy:

[to a Vogon] "Gerroutta my planet - you're barred!"

Whisky

This might sound an odd bit of casting, but after a complete rush of something to the brain (and the comments on Trainspotting) I suddenly came to the conclusion that Robert Carlyle would make quite a good Ford Prefect - after all they cast David Dixon in the TV series because he had "wierd" eyes

Robert Carlyle when he's playing Hitler! (or maybe he should be Prosthetnic Vogon Jeltz)...

I thought he made a pretty good hitler actually...

I just think he's got the presence to make a really good Ford Prefect - if (and it's a big if) he could avoid being quite so scary smiley - winkeye)

I thought he was blinkin' good in Hitler - about the only thing good about the show...

Hmm... how about Morgan Freeman, or Samuel L. Jackson as SlartiBartFast?

How about a professional insult comic?

I think that with the right makeup (something other than grey and green), lighting (putting a shade on the bare bulbs), and costuming (avoiding black coats and military uniforms) RObert Carlyle would make an excelent Ford. He seems the type who could convince you of anything, and seem genuinly sincere about the alteration of the guide entry to "mostly harmless".
