I like the plain skin, except it's far too bright... If there was a "?skin=dark", which was identical to the plain skin except with all the colours reversed and images inverted, I'd probably consider moving away from Goo... smiley - geek

Once "plain" is done, it wouldn't take much work to produce "dark" - whaddya say, Jim? smiley - grovel

Remember we still have the GIF anti-aliasing vs transparency problem, Peet, which would ruin new non-white backgrounds.

It would be a black background, which wouldn't look too bad with the Gooey halos... smiley - smiley

Not much work at all. All the colours are controlled by a CSS stylesheet. I'm toying with making the path to the sylesheet a preference so you can write your own if you want.

But I still think it would be really smiley - cool if the eyes did look from side to side.

Maybe we need to campaign for a smiley...

A shifty eyes smiley (or even modified online eyes) would be very easy - just an animated GIF. However, the current official policy is against animated GIFs. Given that ruling, I still don't understand how the overused disco got in. Anyhow I could do shifty eyes in a couple of ways on my space/articles but I doubt I'd be able to get anything past the main server security onto the smiley list or to replace the current online ones.

Oh shame, especially since i dont like the disco one. Seems a strange policy, why is that?

This is off topic, but none of these new changes, have appeared in the plain skin(apart from spaces under names), is this to keep the skin light for digibox users?

The tag works, but newbies don't seem to like itsmiley - erm
