Oh yeah, you guys don't use conversation log threads .

Basically, create a thread on your personal page, with a little note telling people to leave it alone, then post to it whenever you've read all of your conversations. Easy...

Or you could use the whole memory thingy...

only folks on internet when I needed to get parent/guardians permission were engineers and comp-sci geeks at university.
Other than the DNA connection the no spitting rule was the clencher for staying here to begin with. I mean, no spitting has not been a rule that long on this side of the pond.

Firstly, h2g2ers and a thread that says don't touch! Hmmm, I doubt that's going to happen!

Secondly, I'm lucky if I get time to read all my posts at once!

I just use the my conversation listing, if the link is 'visited' then I've read it, if not then I haven't!

Three word posts, hey at least it's more than just a smiley!

I'm the middle aged mother of a 15 year old researcher.....

( and also a 20 year old, but since she's over 16 that's not important for this discussion)

But in h2g2 years, she's almost 3..... and I'm only 6 months!
