Shirps Posted Jan 19, 2006
Some of you may remember - & I would like to remind the BBC - that there was a particular captain of a ship in a certain book (that led on to BBC radio & BBC television & now a film - from which alot of people have made alot of cash) that sang complete rubbish & alot of people did not want to hear it ... yet it was repeated, written, published, broadcasted and archived for posterity.
Therefore, on this site - which was begun by the author - cannot everything be archived to be accessible whenever & by whoever so desires?
I was under the impression that "these days" archiving was pretty simple & using nanotechnology takes little space.
This site I do not assume to be completely for high-brow discussion - it is a good release for alot of stressed & lonely people. I know some that have been greatly cheered by the humour & friendliness of other 'researchers'. Surely, this is all part of the research anyway.
So, to sum up, please do not discard any of the previous forums, threads & suchlike - they are good to look back on at times.
... and if everyone stopped complaining about the odd times of interrupted service here, maybe the "lines" would be a little clearer. The hamsters are obviously doing what they can with little thanks.
steps off soapbox - again

Traveller in Time only sseing a moderated level of complaining
"Well ,you can not deny it is hard to get through at times, and it is no more then normal if people make remarks in their postings about having to submit the posting several times. (and then double posting as the previous and last attempt did get through)
Most of us take some w**k to get a posting submitted for granted.
I only notice changes in the patterns or changes in the reply messages. "

Ancient Brit...hi......the party thread is one thread compared to dozens current on sci-fi all discussing the same programs or films.Perhaps reduce those down to one thread as well eh?
Having spent some time looking round all conversation forums amazing the number of repeat threads still active and current!!
I'm going to assume your remark was somewhat tongue in cheek!!

Removing the Northern Bottleneck from 'Elton's cage. It took a whale but hopefully he will get out before lowtide. "

stop blaming us Thingites! I´m quite sure it´s more likely Th-r-d-yites that should be blamed
* considering wheter putting certain threads on fire would diminish error rate....*

I still miss 11 March, 2004.
I liked being transported back in time every time Elton the Ham(p)ster fell off his wheel.
