But there's another encounter! I wanted to fight...you know, GL, those guys.
Nuts, Lorenzen takes the Soul Stone and resurects...the brain in the bubble, in 2170. Sort of takes the fun out of defeating evil in 1872.

I think that as soon as we've all agreed that the game has ended or petered out, we ought to have a post-mortem thread. I know I have some thoughts, particularly about participation quotient. I've had to change my strategy several times simply to allow for absences, and that never would have happened in a real-time game.
Arl, the game ain't over yet, though. Still, I feel cheated of Lorenzen somehow, because you were away for so long, before I could properly understand the character or his motivations, and then barely six posts later you've finished one of the main components...

I agree we need a post mortem thread. Some things worked very well here and others didn't. It would be good to discuss them. One of the difficulties I had was timing things - I needed to wait for some things until the appropriate people were available, and until enough interactions had happened in between. That's why we haven't had the other, um, "encounter" yet - there was too much other stuff going on and not enough time since the clock ticked over.
Anyway, we'll keep going until it makes sense to stop.

I can only apologise for my absences.
Now look what's happened. Some Captain I turned out to be.

*grabs B-17 before he can leave* You were great! And I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have play my Virtual LARP husband.

We had a grand game, is what happened. And now I get to know everyone's secrets first.

Before everyone reads all the private post we should have a contest to see who figured out the most secrets and who kept their secret the best.
There should be a prize, but what? Oh, I know. Would any of you like a stuffed rabbit?

I must refrain from guessing, having played three characters total. I bet no one guessed that Captain Briggs had the deepest, darkest secret of them all.

Hush, you lot! Some of us are still in the game. But I look forward to the post mortem, so don't start without us!

Actually, the deepest darkest secret is one that was KEPT from the Captain (boy, is that a safe statement to make!).

Actually, we could end the game with the possibility of rescuing Sarah. It would involve Amelia going home to get some "friends" to pick us up, then we all head up a military expedition to that secret base in Paraquay....
We'd just have to remember to set the lifeboat adrift before we left.
