Thanks GL smiley - winkeye
Good few points to be going on with there. I shall awake soon I think, once Sarah has returned to my side (hopefully in the next 40 minutes) otherwise it's the morning for me, but I should be online for a bit in the evening tomorrow.

Uli finished her dance and rescue mission and your crisis has passed. You are now just sleeping. smiley - biggrin

Did I ever mention what a spoilsport you can be sometimes smiley - winkeye
here was I with a big 'ham' ready to roll on the unsuspecting occupants of the cabin, and you make me go to sleep.
Ah well. Hmm. I had a question for you, but, oh wait. Where is the log currently. In my cabin, still in the mess, in Richardson's cabin?
Has Richardson been updating it over the last wee while? If so, can I read it, and is there more than McLellan's scrawls? Will it help me?
God i feel like a dunce on a ship full of computer whizzkids. Actually, have you seen Galaxy Quest? I feel like Tim Allen when first apporached by the aliens and taken up to their spaceship after being on a bender smiley - winkeye Very funny film.

Anyway, you'll get my drift I'm sure. smiley - biggrin

Sorry for spoiling your fun. The action, though, had precluded it. Nevertheless, you did manage some theatrics smiley - biggrin

Logs. Well, there is a bit of discontinuity here. The log was supposed to be in Richardson's cabin, and he has referred to it there. But, the ghost has written three times in a log in your cabin. The first entry was:

Yc
tea
jam

and a short while later, he added

lept

Then, while you were in your bunk, he wrote the entry that I told you about in my last post. Those are the only things that have happened with the logs.

Another type of log is the ones that people have been keeping in their private threads. They have been writing periodically what they think, what they have found out and what they plan. They are great fun to read and will be lots of fun for everyone to read when the whole thing is over. Can't remember whether you have done that or not.

Thanks GL.
Er no I haven't written anything. perhaps i should start, but then I am so far behind anyway, I haven't really managed to write anything down. Are they just writing them in the 'Private thread for...' or set up a new one?
I've naturally read that people are keeping them, i just haven't been paying much attention to it. Time has been, shall we say, rather fraught of late? Only now are things coming back to a slightly even keel.

Another question. Do you think I should attempt to turn the ship back round. I feel we should be on our original course, and hope to become becalmed again smiley - winkeye But until i get some info. from people I can't make any hasty decisions. Oh the life of a captain, decisions, decisions smiley - winkeye

The logs have been in their private threads. They just add bits (i.e. make new posts) as they see fit. I think it has helped some of the players to keep track of what they know.

As for turning the ship back around, that would probably be your strongest impulse. I expect you will need some very strong convincing to do otherwise. After all, you are responsible for delivering this cargo to its destination. smiley - winkeye I guess you will have to get to the bottom of the reason it was turned about in the first place.

GL, can Yclept?martens actually articulate as he has been with the gag as I assume it was. I was certain Volkert had placed a piece of rope in Martens mouth and tied a cloth gag over his mouth.
Even if it is the other way round, cloth in bouth, rope to gag him, he shouldn't be able to articulate much more than hn hnn hhnn hn hn or mn mn mnnn mn mn or some such (try shoving a hankie in your mouth and pulling back the corners of your mouth to approximate the results) Yes, I'm sad, I just tried it myself. smiley - winkeye
Anyway, I know you aren't able to get on just now, and I have little more time than to post this, but hopefully by Thursday, we should get this sorted.

You're probably right, but his articulations can cause no harm - I have told him that in order to cast a spell, he must get the pronunciation right. smiley - winkeye
