Having worked with a Glaswegian.. and a woman born in Glasgow, then moved to Belfast at the age of 10, then returned..
I have to admit the Glaswegian/Belfast mix is horrendous to understand!!

Yes, almost as bad as ODF.
I knew a Glaswegian in Bonn, and we'd make him speak German to understand him.
Officially, folks, this is English. So it's not against the House Rules. And the filter apparently doesn't mind 'crivens' as an expletive.

When I worked for an Accountant, we had a phone call from Cumbernauld Tax Office. None of us could understand her
Then the lady from Glasgow came in from her lunch.. and we all breathed a sigh of relief and handed the phone over to her!
It was like another language altogether, even Linda was difficult to understand when she suddenly speeded up too

My father says his office got a fax the other day that nobody could make out. The secretary had given it to the Englishman and the Hungarian, but they both capitulated. It finally arrived on my (Dutch) father's desk and he could make out most of it.
Turns out it was in Afrikaans!

I love Afrikaans. Used to have to translate it. What a mess, finding out obscure words.
Not as bad as figuring out which letter to look up a Welsh word in the dictionary under, though. Now, that's torture by orthography.
