*presents Abi with a nice fresh and piece of
(with £50 note secreted inside)*
May I just say that I think you are doing an excellent job M'lady and I am certain that justice will be seen to be done.

*General murmuring noises*

Thanks Pegasus! Oh I think this is yours... *hands back fifty pound note*
*bangs gavel*
Do we have any one here apart from the defence counsel?

~sneaks in, since everyone in the court seems to be on a break. finds a nice place to sit, and wonders if there is any tea left...~

*assumes that was directed at him and helps self to . The sound of a parched person quenching his thirst can just be heard emanating from within the paper bag, though only to those directly within earshot of the stand.*

Hey Cafram, how you doing? What paper you with?
Boy, I sure get 'em. Straight from Geoffrey Archer to this! Now the problem as I see it is the City Desk's not gonna be too happy with the artist's impression of the accused. Paper bags just don't sell papers. Maybe we could work on the judge, though - stern but attractive in that kind of Anne Robinson way - "You are the sneakiest fink - goodbye!" She'll look good in a black cap too, I reckon. Won't come to that though. He'll get off with twenty years hard labour, I imagine.
*realises something, shouts to Judge Abi*
Excuse me M'lud! May I approach the bench? (always wanted to say that!) Are we trying this boy under Scots or English law? I mean, he might get off easier under Scots law, but if he gets sent down, it'll be for longer than under English law. Erm...not that as a journo I want to influence the outcome...
*This is untrue. He already has the headline "TART TO DO PORRIDGE" in mind*

Spiny, you have my permission to approach the bench.

*muffled voice says "Um, Thanks SPINY for your input, but I think I am being tried under h2g2 law, so...." trains off into silence again, though a heavy can be heard.*

*groans loudly as he realises not only has he simulposted with her Ludyship, the Right Honourable Abi, but he has contradicted her too. This cannot be good *
